Sindhful!
The rise of home chef and QSR’s in
the city is something that has really impressed me and I love trying their
stuff. From home made gooey brownies to authentic traditional food; today’s
food scene in the city has it all, and amongst all of this, is a new entrant,
called Sindhful!

A recent invitation from them did
get me all excited to try it but, somewhere
I was a little sceptical because primarily, Sindhi cuisine was something very
new to me. All I knew about this particular cuisine was seyal pav and dal
pakwaan and koki and of course aloo tuk and without further ado, I must tell you
about what I had from there and how my experience was.

What we had:
Aloo Tuk: One of my
favourites, aloo tuk is par boiled potato, deep fried and topped with some
traditional sindhi spices is a delicious sindhi appetiser and all of us at home
loved this rendition.

Seyal Pav: Very different from
what we usually have, this was a whole piece of pav cooked with green masalas!
As delicious as the masala was, the bread had gone a little soggy by the time
it reached me (Khar to Andheri).

Sindhi Kadhi and Rice: The
traditional Sindhi Kadhi is a recipe that each Sindhi family has passed down
from generations. Cooked with love, this was my first experience with the
Sindhi Kadhi and I simply could not stop licking my fingers! A thorough delight
to eat, we truly were in love with this dish, and then…

Dal Pakwaan: …and then, we
had the Dal Pakwaan. By far, the best Dal Pakwaan that I have ever had, has to
be this one. Not at all oily and with chutneys to die for, every single element
of this dish activated a new sense in me. So good, that I could literally kill
for this dish. Thank You for reminding me how powerful a well cooked meal can
get!

We also had some Gooey
chocolate Cake for dessert and it was yum too!
